I think Revver is a great model for people who want to earn some cash off videos they upload to the web. YouTube has the advantage of being first in the online video game, and high traffic can follow, but the Revver model is about sharing videos and earning from it through advertising. Revver has been at a disadvantage because their site wasn’t high traffic so not many folks, including myself, would go there just to browse online videos. However, they are trying to make it more accessible, and good news came in a recent newsletter about a plug-in for Wordpress blogs. Here’s their text:

Our new plugin for Wordpress makes videoblogging a snap.  Whether you have an existing Wordpress blog or are just getting started with Wordpress, the plugin is easy to set up and does a whole bunch of cool stuff:

- upload videos directly through your blog (+ auto-publish upon video approval)
- manage your Revver account, videos, and subscribers — all from your blog
- enable video responses to your posts
- your subscribers are automatically given a Revver account when they sign up and post video responses — so they earn too!

Download the plugin.
