It’s not too late to get in on this year’s University Film & Video Association Annual Conference in Colorado Springs! If you are a grad student or teaching film and video at the college level, this conference is for you. I delivered a paper a few years back, and the friendships and connections I made during one conference have lasted years–it’s a very collegial. They have extended the deadline for submissions to April 15:

Submission forms and contact information for Juried Screenings, Formal Screenings, Papers and Panels, Paper Prize, Scriptwriting, and New Media entries are now available by clicking on the appropriate link in the red box on this page. The deadline for entries has been extended to April 15, 2008.
Also on tap for this year’s conference is a joint contest with the Center for Social Media at American University for the best fair use short film with cash prizes for both student and faculty entries. The deadline for entry to this contest is May 1. Click here for the full skinny and examples.
